Hello new and returning members of the Trillium Wood Tuesday Morning Day Ladies League. I hope you had a healthy and enjoyable winter and are itching to get out on the links once again.
Last season was our inaugural year and for the most part, a good time was had by all! The first few years of any new venture is always a learning experience. Thanks to many of you for your help and support in getting this league up and running. Any suggestions for improvement are most welcome anytime.
Below please find information about the 2008 season.
Opening Day Scramble 18 Holes – Saturday, May 3rd, 2008 with tee-offs starting @ 9:30 a.m. Open to all ladies belonging to either the Tuesday morning or the Wednesday evening leagues or both.
Green Fees 18 Holes: $45.00 (if you are a member of some type your membership will either cover all or some of this. See the Club House for details.)
Rental Cart 18 Holes: $15.00 per person
Dinner: $15.00 (even if a TW member, you must pay for dinner)
All prices include tax.
Fees are payable to Trillium Wood at the Opening Day Scramble on May 3rd.
Please call the Club House or Susan Smith at 613-962-3846 or email susand.smith@sympatico.ca by Wednesday April 19th with your intentions of playing in the Opening Day Scramble so we can determine the number of tee times required and the amount of food to prepare for dinner. Foursomes will be assembled as you arrive that day!
First League Day –Tuesday, May 6th 2008 @10:00 a.m. (Please note the change in time. The time will be earlier as the season progresses)
League Fee: $45.00 (covers prizes, ringer board & year-end festivities/dinner). N.B. If you wish to play in both leagues, that is, the Tuesday morning AND the Wednesday evening leagues, the combined fee is $70.00.
Green Fees for non-members: 9 holes: $27.00; 18 holes: $40.00
Cart Rental Fee: 9 Holes: $9.00; 18 holes: $16 per person.
All prices include tax.
After league play players are encouraged to socialize with your league mates and hopefully have lunch in the Trillium Wood restaurant.
League Fee can be paid by cash or cheque payable to Trillium Wood Ladies League. If you are playing only in the Tuesday morning league give Lynne your membership fee on May 6th or leave it at the pro shop desk with my name on the envelope.
If you wish to play in both leagues, indicate your desire to do so and

Final League Day – Tuesday, September 30th, 2008 10:00 a.m.
Closing Festivities – Both leagues celebrate together. Wednesday October 1, 2008 starting at 5:00 p.m.
League Format:
League play will begin at 10:00 a.m. Please assemble at least 15-20 minutes ahead of time to sign in.
Quota play seemed popular last year so it is likely to be the format for this season as well. Cost to participate each week is $2.00. There will also be a 50/50 draw ($1) and a chip-in pot ($.25).
The 9 holes played for the quota prizes will alternate each week between the front and back nine.
Depending on the total number of ladies present, groups of three or four players will be put together by a random draw method each Tuesday.
It’s helpful to know ahead of time if you won’t be coming any given week so Trillium Wood can release any tee times the league won’t need. Please inform, email or phone Lynne if you know you will not be golfing on any particular Tuesday.
If you are interested playing a total of 18 holes on league day you are more than welcome to do so.
You must play a minimum of 10 games to be eligible for league prize money awarded at the final banquet on October 1st.
Current known dates when the league will be at an earlier time:
Tues. June 3rd : 8 a.m. shotgun start
Tues. August 5th: 8 a.m. shotgun start
Others may come up but will be announced ahead of time.
