Staff Teaching Professional
Trillium Wood Golf Club

Ian started his interest in the game working on the grounds crew at Sutton Creek Golf Course in Essex, Ontario at the age of 18. He grew a deep passion for the game so he decided to move out to Victoria, B.C &  enroll in the Professional Golf Management Program. During his time in B.C. he was hired on at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler where he worked for several years and was trained at the Leadbetter Golf Academy.

He learned many different approaches to teaching the game at the Chateau under the guidance of Mark Wilson, PGA of Canada member and former Canadian Tour Alumni. He continued to study and practice the game and after having a daughter, moved back to Ontario and was hired at Black Bear Ridge Golf Course as the Assistant Professional. He then played in to become a member of the PGA of Canada and was an apprentice under the guidance of Canadian Golf  Hall of Famer Cathy Sherk for four seasons.

Ian continues to learn and to share his knowledge of the game and is incredibly excited to be a part of the Trillium Wood team where he is adamant on building a better academy and focusing on junior golf which he truly enjoys.
